Story:
Hello my name is Joanna, I am an artist and this is my website, welcome! I have loved to draw and paint for as long as I can remember. I like learning new things and, as a result, I have earned graphic and web design skills over the years. I also like improving the quality of my art and teaching others what I know.
In 1985, I was born in Puerto Rico. I moved to the mainland of the United States of America in 2008. In U.S.A., I worked in the marketing department of an auction company for approximately 8 years. I learned how to use tools like the Adobe Suite to make brochures, postcards, booklets, PDF forms, business cards, event posters, slideshows, etc. I also learned the basics of HTML, CSS and wordpress by creating promo e-mails, web banners, helping design and maintain their website.
In 2015, I decided to pursue full-time freelancing. One of my friends commissioned me to create a logo and banners for his twitch channel and freelancing took off from there. Sometimes I streamed the art process on twitch or record and post speed paints on my YouTube channel. Other people liked what I had created for my friend and they requested commissions as well. It's been amazing to work with people from all over the world!
In 2022, many life-changing events occurred in my life. I needed a drastic change so I decided to travel. My travels took me to Estonia and I fell in love with the country, the language, and a particular person. I decided to move to Estonia, but I had to make more drastic changes first. I divorced, got rid of most of my stuff, moved in with my mom, started a new job, among other things. I took a job in an small shop that upcycles furniture. There I learned to fix and paint furniture. I also learned how to do facebook reels.
In 2023, I finally made it to Estonia and I have my visa to stay for a year. I'm using my time here to learn about Estonian culture and their language. My goal now is to find a full-time graphic design job here in Estonia.
